The Solo Explorer, doesn't go Solo on this trip, instead goes to the Woman's Island with my Girl Friend, I guess that makes sense given it's the "Woman's Island"

She Goes every year for the Day of the Dead Celebration
She normally travels with a girl friend of hers, that was coming a week late because of shoulder surgery.  It will be the three of us for a couple days (so I can meet her) than I return home and the two of them continue their adventure.
It's important to continue to have new adventures in your travels.

Flying standby (fly if there is a empty seat) so I go on the first flights of the day (giving me more options if some of the flights are full)  BOI-DEN-CUN, seats where available on all the flight! Yay!  But puts me in a couple of hour before my Girl Friend's flight.

Got a free shot of Tequila, before I even got to customs, and waited at Margaritaville at the airport and drinking Pina Coladas with Chips and Guacamole.  Now that is the way to wait for a friend.

She arrived on her flight, we looked around and finally found the prearranged ride to the Ferry Ultramar terminal and then a very nice high speed ferry to Isla Mujeres.  It was a smooth ride especially given it was raining hard and some wind.

Rain at the mainland side ferry terminal

The rain had almost stopped by the time we got to the Island.

Sat- Wed
Short walk from the ferry Terminal to Rocamar Hotel Isla Mujeres.
Having some red wine and enjoying the view from our room at the hotel.

Rented Bicycles for a week and rode all over the North end of the Island.  Lots of great restaurants.  We went to a beach club and for 20 dollars rented beach loungers and ordered drinks and food, "Adult Daycare".

Rented a Golf Cart for a couple of days and explored the south end of the island.  Also great restaurants and an Adult Daycare again.

Overlapped with my girl friends travel partner

My view at "Adult Daycare"

We rented a boat and they did not like my parking job when I returned it ☺ (not really, but it makes a good story)

Susie and Bill tour the island

Drinks on the Hotel balcony
