San Francisco - One Day Trip
Full Detail Itinerary of the Day
(probably more info then everybody wants :-) )
On the plane BOI (Boise)
My excuse for Going, a new pair of Dr. Martens
(well I did not need much of an excuse for a day trip to SF)
Breakfast at Café' de la Presse by the Gate to China Town.
Tea and Croissant
(they use to have a great Chai Tea Latte and a Yogurt Parfait - but no more: Croissant was good)
I walked across SF, through China Town, the Italian Quarter and to the Wharf
Really nice walk and perfect temp and weather.
Lunch at Cioppino's on the Wharf
Wine and Clam Chowder in a Sour Dough Bread Bowl
(Very Good and relaxing)
I didn't want to but I think it is a city ordnance that you have to have a Sunday (even if it is Tuesday) at Ghirardelli's if you visit the city.
Yes I also had a few chocolate squares.
SF now has a CitizenM hotel!!
I would have probably stayed over night if I had known that - My Favorite Hotel Chain, have stayed at lots of them.
Very Fun

Great Public Area
Very Friendly Staff
(they made me a "London Fog Tea) and offered me breakfast all on the house and chatted about all the CitizenM's I have stayed at.
Small rooms - but why would you not hang out in the public areas and be sociable - huh.

A SF tour bus - how fun.
Did not eat here this trip - but thought is was worth a photo because Boise will soon have a couple of In-N-Out burgers of it's own.
My carry-on for the return flight.
I had a United Club pass, so I got to the airport early to relax, enjoy the view and get dinner
Back on the Plane to return to Boise
It as a good day and I got lots of exercise walking all over SF.
Some general observations about SF:
Kind of quiet (probably because it was a Tuesday)
Lots of Security and police around.
Some vacate stores, but lots of new stores.
I did not see a single homeless person sitting on the sidewalks.
I am currently thinking about several travel destination - stay tuned.
